Kestrel Wildlife Safaris accepts bookings under the following terms and conditions:
1. Bookings: Bookings can be made up to a maximum of three months in advance of your safari. Bookings can be made by email, through our website or in person and will be confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
2. Minimum Numbers: The minimum number on every safari is 2 full paying adults. Should this number not be reached we reserve the right to cancel the safari. A single customer has the right to pay double (£120) should they wish to book a safari.
3. Cancellations and Refunds: Kestrel Wildlife Safaris will only cancel safaris due to circumstances beyond our control. In this case a free transfer to an alternative date will be offered or a full refund will be made, although no additional expenses incurred by the customer can be claimed. If the customer cancels the safari reservation the effective date of cancellation will be the date Kestrel Wildlife Safaris receives written notification of the cancellation. If a safari is cancelled by the customer more than 14 days before the safari a full refund will be given. If a safari is cancelled by the customer between 3 and 14 days before the safari a 50% refund will be given. If a safari is cancelled by the customer less than 3 days before the safari a 25% refund will be given. If no notice of cancellation is received by Kestrel Wildlife Safaris the customer will be held liable for the full cost of the safari.
4. Insurance: Kestrel Wildlife Safaris is fully insured and will take every opportunity to reduce the risk involved in the wildlife safaris but due to the nature of the activities there will always be some degree of risk involved. Whilst not mandatory, you may wish to arrange your own personal injury insurance and or holiday insurance. Please note, instructions from your guide must be obeyed at all times in order to minimize risk. Kestrel Wildlife Safaris does not accept any liability for loss, inconvenience or damage caused by criminal activity, natural disasters, fires, sickness, weather conditions, road or traffic conditions, temporary mechanical or electrical breakdown, or other events beyond the control of Kestrel Wildlife Safaris.
5. Smoking: Smoking is not permitted on any safari.
6. Children: We welcome children of all ages on our Wildlife Safaris, but all children or young people under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
7. Dogs: Well behaved, clean dogs may be brought on bespoke safaris and must be under the control at all times and on a lead during any walking parts of the safari to avoid disturbance to wildlife. Dogs cannot be brought on any other safaris.
8. Disturbance to wildlife: While every effort will be made to give customers the best views of wildlife possible, your guide will minimise disturbance to wildlife. Instructions from the guide must be followed at all times to this effect.
9. Weather: Safaris will take place in all weather deemed safe in the opinion of your guide. Kestrel Wildlife Safaris reserves the right to alter routes should this be necessary in order to provide the best service possible in the given conditions. If safaris are cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions a full refund or the opportunity to move the safari to a convenient date will be offered.
10. Clothing: Suitable outdoor footwear and clothing must be worn on safaris. Kestrel Wildlife Safaris reserves the right to refuse customers who are dressed inappropriately.
11. Alcohol, drugs and anti-social behaviour: Kestrel Wildlife Safaris reserve the right to refuse participation to any customer believed to be are under the influence of alcohol or drugs or who is behaving in any way deemed anti-social or disruptive by the guide. In such circumstances no refunds shall be given and Kestrel Wildlife Safaris will have no further liability to that customer. Kestrel Wildlife Safaris reserves the right to refuse participation to any customer whose conduct or manner is likely to cause offence or upset to other passengers. In such circumstances no refunds shall be given and Kestrel Wildlife Safaris will have no further liability to that customer.
12. The safari vehicle is maintained to a high standard, but breakdowns can still occur. In such an event, other than a puncture, arrangements will be make by the guide to get customers back to the start point of the safari as quickly as possible and a full refund will be given. If a puncture occurs the guide will change the wheel and a 25% refund will be given.
13. Complaints Procedure: Every effort will be made to ensure that every customer has an enjoyable safari. If any customer is dissatisfied with any part of the experience provided, the exact reasons for their feelings must be detailed in writing and given to Kestrel Wildlife Safaris, who will then try to ensure that a satisfactory outcome is reached for both parties.
14. Your guide is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
15. Your guide is a qualified first aider, but if first aid is required other members of the party may be asked to assist.
